Your Most Powerful Secret Weapon

“Intuition helps us to make wise decisions even when tangible evidence is lacking.”

One of our most valuable tools is intuition. That sixth sense of knowing. The feeling in your gut that something is either right or wrong. It’s what I call my most powerful ‘secret weapon’!

Intuition helps us to make wise decisions even when tangible evidence is lacking. You can recognise it in those moments when having left a conversation that seems reasonable and truthful, a voice in your head or heart says ‘nah, something doesn’t feel right’.

These tips will help you increase your intuition:

  1. Listen to the physical sensations in your body. I use my body as a sensing mechanism, a kind of personal Geiger counter to pick up what is going on around me.
  2. Look out for the ‘flashes’ of knowing. Be open to the messages that pop into your mind. Take note of them, and if possible, write them down for action – or later reflection.
  3. Practice! When things go right, and when things go wrong take a moment to reflect. Recall any feelings of ‘yes, good idea’, or ‘no, bad idea’ you had before starting and add the new understanding to your growing wisdom.
  4. Relax. Intuition works best when we are relaxed – the moment when we are NOT thinking about a problem. Use breathing, calming techniques or meditation to lower anxiety and mind chatter, creating the space for your intuition to be felt.

What is your intuition telling you?
