One of the great things about entrepreneurs is their willingness to jump in and ‘just do it’ despite the risk of failure.
This willingness to fail is an essential attribute of successful people, because unless we take this risk, we will do nothing and we will remain paralysed by the fear of failure.
So, if you wish to grow the people around you (or even yourself) please take time to encourage them to try new things and then praise them for trying; congratulate them for their courage when they fail and celebrate with them when they succeed. We need to be a nation that celebrates the courage to try, not one that crushes people when they fail.
If it wasn’t for our many failures, we wouldn’t be where we are today – so, today, let’s greet and give thanks for our past failures, in those around us and in ourselves, and let’s strive to learn and grow from those failures so that the future is better than the past!
