As we reach the middle of 2022 it feels as though we are hurtling into a decade of disruption.
Globally and nationally, the world is in a period of rapid change on multiple fronts and it’s affecting us all.
Our task as business owners, parents and partners is to find ways to embrace these changes and turn them into our favour, although let’s be honest, after two years of rapid disruption this can feel really taxing emotionally.
As entrepreneurs though, we are naturally resilient and now is the time to celebrate that ability. Disruption and change often signals opportunity for those who are prepared.
As a reminder to myself, I looked up the dictionary definition of the word resilient. It has two meanings. The first is ‘the capacity to recover quickly from difficulties; toughness’ and the second is ‘the ability of a substance or object to spring back into shape; elasticity’.
It’s this toughness, and flexibility that equips us to make the most of changing circumstances and to bounce back better when life knocks us around.
If change is our new reality let’s embrace it with a life view and a company strategy that is flexible, adjustable and suited to new possibilities. Let’s be prepared.
