As the working year draws to a close, I’m conscious of the importance of ending on a high so we can go into the holiday feeling good about our achievements and enthusiastic about the coming year.
We need to take time to reflect on the successes of the year, focus on the good things, connect and acknowledge everyone’s input. We should be getting together to laugh, to cry, to celebrate and reminisce. We must feel united in the shared journey and reconnect as a work family.
That’s what an end-of-year party is supposed to do, but when that is cancelled (like ours has been due to COVID) it takes a little more thought. Personal cards of thanks, personal conversations and pausing a moment to link deeper than just a Zoom meeting.
Thank you for being part of my Weekly Catherine’s Corner. I appreciate your presence in my life and love each and every response I receive from you.
